Craft Group

A Parent Craft Group gathers weekly for a lovely social morning of crafting, chatting and delicious morning tea. Parents and their children are welcome to join in on either a regular or occasional basis. It is not necessary to have sewing experience as the skills you will need are taught on the day. If you are a new parent, or your children are still too young for school, we encourage you to come along. It is a great opportunity to make new friends, to learn new skills, and to make simple children’s toys.

A simple toy, created for a child with love, has a great power to nurture the child and to awaken and enrich their imaginative play. Handmade toys have a human element, which is absent from many toys available today. We make our toys with the same warmth and love that we would wish for our children. For many of us, the actual activity and sense of purpose in creating is as enjoyable as the end result.

When: Wednesdays 9am – 11.30am during term time
