Growing environmental awareness
At Samford Valley Steiner School we aim to educate young people to be socially responsible and have an environmental awareness that is ecologically responsible. Our Class 7 students demonstrated this recently by planting a Pollinator Garden to attract and provide protection for local bees, birds and butterflies. The students had a session on biodiversity by representatives of a group called B&B Highway (Bed and Breakfasts for Birds, Bees,Butterflies, Bats and other pollinators). This group is an urban and peri-urban regenerative initiative to support the declining numbers of pollinators.
